Dear Resistance,
I’m writing to you today to tell you to go kick rocks. I’m onto your sneaky ways and I will not stand for it another moment longer.
You know my goal of making an additional $14,000 a month? Yeah, I’m going to do it.
Eating clean? Yup, doing that too.
And while I’m at it, I’m going to start writing that book I’ve always wanted to write.
Oooooh, I know you’ll try to stop me from starting and once I do, you’ll continue to try and block me at every turn. You’ll make me think I need to know all the steps and have things just-so before I can begin.
You’ll try to make me think that Monday is when I should start because everything starts on Monday.
You’ll probably pull out all the stops and throw some drama into my life…perhaps a fight with my partner? Maybe you’ll throw a head cold or the flu into the mix…you know, just for shits and giggles.
Perhaps you’ll try and trick me into thinking that my emotions steer the ship. After all, who can actually do any work when they’re not feeling it? *said with sarcasm*
You’ll create situations where everyone and their dog needs me, which makes getting anything done, downright impossible, let alone working on my goals.
And I know you ALWAYS make tomorrow look SOOOOOOO promising. You seem to throw just the right amount of intention and determination into the mix to have me believe myself.
But today (notice that it’s not even Monday?), I’m flipping you the bird and I’m going forward. One foot in front of the other. No. Matter. What.
